Frequently Asked Questions:

What should I bring with me to my initial appointment?

Please show up a minimum of 10 minutes prior to your appointment to ensure that all of your paperwork is processed correctly and that you have time to change clothing, if need be. Be sure to bring the following:

        Insurance card(s)

        Referral / prescription from physician

        All forms and paperwork

        Change of clothing

        Co-payment (if any)

        Any additional information for your therapist (i.e. x-rays, op reports)
    

 

What should I wear?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Please either wear or bring a pair of shorts and walking/running shoes. We ask that females wear or bring an athletic bra if available. Gowns and towels are available at each appointment.

 

How long will my evaluation appointment be?

You should expect that your evaluation will last anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Our evaluations are extremely in depth and require several different methods of testing.

 

What should I expect during my initial appointment?

You should expect a very in depth analysis, which consists of taking your medical history and detailed discussions of your current diagnosis and any other concerns you may have. Anything acute will be assessed and addressed. Your treatment plan will be outlined for you as will recommendations regarding your treatment frequency and duration. You should also expect physical tests and measurements to be performed, a Neuromusculoskeletal Profile Evaluation and in most cases you will also have a 3-D Spine Analysis and M.A.P of your spine completed.

Please expect to be asked what you would like your therapy to entail and what goals you would like to accomplish. Based on this information, you and your therapist can create custom treatment and self-directed care plans to bring you to a state of optimum health and wellbeing.

 

What can I expect from subsequent visits?

You can plan on these visits lasting approximately 30 to 60 minutes. Since we strongly feel that every client should be their own advocate, at each visit you will give be given the opportunity to discuss with your therapist what you feel you should address and accomplish at that visit.
